2015 provided for another incredible Cave Spring Motorcycle rally. The site was prepared beautifully with even more of the brush and trees along Cedar Creek cut away. It was hot July 24-25 weekend but it didn’t keep tent campers and RVs from filling the banks of the creek.
Hometown boy, and Nashville recording artist, Jeremiah Wheeler with a brand new touring band, rocked the house, or should I say, he rocked Big Cedar Creek, He was the Friday night headliner. No Sweat, a Metro Atlanta and Panama City Beach rally favorite thundered the stage on Saturday night. Roadhouse, Mr. MeanR, Atomic Boogie, and South of Heaven, all took the 3rd Annual show stage with fantastic shows.
A huge throng of bikes rolled from the site for the poker run on Saturday morning. Stops included, Southern Devil H-D, Tom’s Place, Knucklehead’s Cafe’ and Linda Marie’s Steakhouse, before returning back to the 3pm finish. During the day, the Christian Motorcycle Association was running all the bike gangs, which were tons of fun.
The bike show turnout was great. The show was sponsored by Lawbike.com and this year managed by Full Throttle Magazine. As usual the model classes can’t always accommodate the different types of bikes which make up the show. The Vintage was the toughest where a spotless like new 1980 Kawasaki Z-1 beat out a 1945 H-D Knucklehead. The field included some incredible vintage machines, super nice stocks, and some really beautiful customs. Best of Show went to Rocky Arrington’s H-D Ultra Classic Custom Bagger.
Congratulations to the Cave Springs Rally Miss Dukes and Boots competition winner, Lauren House, and our Miss Darlin’ Dukes winner, Georgia Sanders. This is a fun and sexy contest sponsored by Southern Devil H-D. The winners will be featured in upcoming issues of Full Throttle Magazine.
Anthony Tolbert showed up with that bad ride called the General Lee, sporting it’s rebel flag. We don’t want to forget to mention the Beer Garden, Food Court, and Vendors.
And yes, the town does have a huge cave located off the town square, filled with stalactites and devil’s stool formations. It pumps out two million gallons of the purest, best tasting water per day that you are likely to find anywhere. People come from miles around to fill their containers with the award-winning water.
Full Throttle Magazine was proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the 3rd Annual Cave Spring Rally. A great big ‘thank you’ to all the sponsors Capitoline Products, Southern Devil Harley-Davidson, Eagle Rock/Budweiser, Stephanie Drake Burford, Lawbike.com, and The Burkhalter Firm, LLC. Thanks to Sandra Lindsey and The Cave Spring Downtown Development Association, to which the rally proceeds will go to and payoff their building mortgage for their Visitors Center.
